DESCRIPTION:The Green River Chamber\, Rock Springs Chamber and Flaming Gorge Chamber are constantly working to provide diversity and bring travelers to our area. In an effort to achieve just that we are jointly sponsoring an event in January\, the Second Annual Burbot Bash. Burbot or ling cod are an invasive game fish that has just recently found its way into the Flaming Gorge Reservoir. This very aggressive fish is having a devastating effect on the other native species in the lake. The Burbot Bash will be a weekend long Fishing Derby with a kick off\, January 25\, 2012\, 11a.m. at Buckboard Marina\, with registration\, rules and status updates on the burbot. The Burbot Bash will conclude on January 28\, 2012\, at the Manila Rodeo Grounds\, with a fish cleaning competition and burbot cooking demonstration.     \n\n     The derby will have more than $7\,000 in awards for catching a tagged fish\, catching the most burbot and reeling in the largest and smallest fish.
